What We're Architecting
A production-grade AI-native infrastructure stack combining:
- LLM orchestration with guardrails
- Deterministic workflow engines (state machines for legal lifecycle management)

Core Technical Challenges
- Constraining stochastic LLM outputs within deterministic execution systems
- Designing reliable agent workflows with rollback & state control
- Building structured legal ontologies for machine reasoning
- Implementing citation-verifiable RAG layers
- Creating audit-grade logs suitable for enterprise and regulated environments
- Scaling multi-tenant architecture with strong isolation guarantees
You will:
- Define long-term systems architecture from first principles
- Design infra abstractions for legal execution engines
- Own backend, APIs, AI layers, cloud infra, and data architecture
- Embed AI into production systems beyond wrapper-level usage
- Build the engineering team and technical culture
- Operate as a true co-founder with board-level visibility
- This is a zero-to-one distributed systems problem in a compliance-heavy domain.
Ideal Background
- 4+ years in deep-tech, infra, or AI-first startups
- Strong distributed systems & architecture fundamentals
- Experience shipping LLM/RAG systems to production
- Comfortable designing stateful workflow engines
- Security-conscious systems thinking
- Hands-on engineer (not purely managerial)
- IIT / top US CS background preferred
Bonus:
- Experience in infra tooling, workflow engines, compliance systems
- Background in formal systems, deterministic design, or constrained AI
