Client is a well known bank rated among its peer group.
Role description:
Legal Manager shall drive corporate loan recovery efforts. This role involves driving legal strategies for recovering stressed assets and non-performing loans. The candidate shall be well versed in banking laws, litigation, and recovery frameworks such as SARFAESI, IBC, and DRT.
Role specs :
- Develop and execute legal strategies for recovery of corporate loans and NPAs.
- Manage litigation and represent the bank before DRT, NCLT, and other legal forums.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, recovery agents, and internal stakeholders.
- Initiate legal actions under SARFAESI, IBC, and other applicable laws.
- Draft and vet legal notices, settlement agreements, and recovery documentation.
- Monitor recovery progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
Candidate specs :
- LLB
- Must have strong background in legal recovery roles within a bank / NBFC.
- Strong understanding of corporate lending, insolvency laws, and enforcement mechanisms.
