Manager - Accounts
Role Overview:
The Manager - Accounts (E-commerce) will be responsible for managing and overseeing the complete financial operations of Leeford's e-commerce business. This role requires strong expertise in platform reconciliations, financial reporting, compliance, and coordination with multiple marketplace partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Manage end-to-end accounting for e-commerce operations across multiple platforms.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate recording of revenues, expenses, commissions, returns, and chargebacks.
Marketplace Reconciliations:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for e-commerce partners such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, and other platforms.
- Reconcile transactions between e-commerce portals, payment gateways, and bank statements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies related to settlements, deductions, and claims.
Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory compliance applicable to e-commerce businesses (GST, TDS, audits, etc.).
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Implement and strengthen financial controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Budgeting & Analysis:
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for e-commerce channels.
- Provide actionable financial insights to support business and management decisions.
Record Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all e-commerce platforms and D2C channels.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners for financial clarifications and closures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in accounting, with significant exposure to e-commerce finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and budgeting.
- Hands-on experience with marketplace settlements and reconciliation processes.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements specific to e-commerce businesses.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple platforms and high transaction volumes.
