About the Role:
The Chief of Staff at Lecxe is not a scheduler, a note-taker, or a chief-of-calendar. It is one of the highest execution and responsibility based roles in the company - because the person in it operates as an extension of the CEO's judgment across everything: strategy, operations, investor relations, client escalations, internal culture, and the hundred things that don't fit neatly into anyone else's job description.
You will sit at the centre of the founding team's decision-making, own critical cross-functional workstreams end-to-end, represent Lecxe in external conversations when the CEO cannot be present, and make sure execution follows strategy - not just in theory, but in practice. You will know everything that is happening at Lecxe, and you will use that knowledge to make the CEO, the founding team, and the company more effective.
This is a role for someone who is deeply ambitious, exceptionally organised, sharp enough to hold their own in any conversation - technical, commercial, or strategic - and mature enough to know that their job is to make others successful, not to be the loudest voice in the room. The right person will treat this as the best MBA they never had to pay for, and will grow into a senior leadership role at Lecxe or beyond within two to three years.
What You'll Do:
Strategy & Cross-Functional Execution:
- Own high-priority strategic projects from inception to completion - market research, competitive analysis, partnership evaluation, pricing strategy, hiring plans, go-to-market workstreams. The CEO hands it to you knowing it will come back done.
- Serve as the connective tissue across the founding team: product, engineering, sales, client delivery, and operations. You see the full picture when each function only sees its own slice.
- Run the operating rhythm of the leadership team: weekly syncs, OKR reviews, quarterly planning sessions. Structure the agenda, keep the conversation productive, capture the decisions, drive the follow-through.
- Identify where strategy and execution are diverging - where what the team is building does not match what the company said it would build - and raise it before it costs the company a client or a quarter.
- Build and maintain internal systems and processes that allow Lecxe to scale without losing speed: how decisions get made, how information flows, how priorities get set and communicated.
Internal Operations & Culture:
- Own the things that fall between functions: cross-team hiring coordination, onboarding quality, internal communications, sales performance, marketing updates, and the operational details that determine whether a fast-growing team feels like a company or like chaos. You are responsible for the end-to-end success of multiple projects and decide who does what and when.
- Be the person who notices when morale is slipping, when a team is overloaded, or when a process is creating friction - and address it before the CEO has to.
- Help build and protect Lecxe's culture as the team grows: the values, the working norms, the standards of communication and accountability that make this a place people are excited to be.
- Handle sensitive internal matters with discretion and maturity - compensation conversations, performance concerns, interpersonal dynamics. You are trusted with information that does not leave the room.
CEO & Founding Team Enablement:
- Own the founder's time, attention, and priorities. Know what matters most this week, this month, and this quarter - and ruthlessly advise and implement the leadership team's decision on those things.
- Follow up on every commitment made in every leadership meeting - who owns it, by when, and whether it happened. You are the accountability layer that makes decisions stick.
- Identify the things the CEO should be thinking about that are not yet on anyone's radar. Surface problems early, with a proposed path forward, before they become urgent.
- Draft communications, strategic documents, board materials, and external correspondence on behalf of the CEO - in their voice, at their quality bar.
Investor, Partner & External Relations:
- Represent Lecxe in partnership conversations, vendor negotiations, and external meetings where the CEO's presence is not required but Lecxe's credibility must be maintained.
- Manage relationships with key external stakeholders - advisors, ecosystem partners, agencies and institutions - and make sure those relationships are being cultivated, not just maintained.
- Track the external landscape: what is happening in Indian MSME software, AI tooling, and the competitive set. Bring the CEO a point of view, not just a summary.
Must-Haves:
- 2 - 5 years of experience in a role that demanded both strategic thinking and flawless execution - consulting (MBB, Big 4, boutique strategy), a founder's office, investment banking, or a Chief of Staff / strategy role at a high-growth startup.
- Exceptional written and spoken English. You deal with external stakeholders, write company updates, board memos, and CEO communications. Every word you send reflects on Lecxe. The bar is high, and it is tested.
- Structured thinking under pressure. You can receive a half-formed brief, identify the real question being asked, structure an approach, and come back with a clear point of view - fast.
- Impeccable follow-through and implementation. You do not drop balls. You do not need to be reminded. If you said it would be done by Thursday, it is done by Thursday - and if it will not be, you say so on Tuesday.
- Commercial sharpness. You can read a P&L, understand a unit economics argument, follow a fundraising narrative, and contribute a point of view on business decisions - not just facilitate the conversation.
- High emotional intelligence. You work with founders, senior engineers, clients, and investors in the same week. You read the room, adjust your register, and leave every interaction having made the other person feel heard and respected.
- Genuine enthusiasm for the AI space. You are curious about what Lecxe is building and why it matters - not just interested in the CoS title.
Nice-to-Haves:
- An MBA from a top institution, or equivalent analytical training that shows up in how you structure problems and communicate recommendations.
- Prior exposure to early-stage startups or high-growth environments where the rules are still being written and the org chart changes every six months.
- A network in the Indian startup, consulting, or MSME ecosystem that you can activate when Lecxe needs introductions.
