Senior Analyst - Private Equity Role Overview: We are seeking a highly driven analyst with a minimum of 4 years of experience to support the investment team primarily in private equity strategy. You will play a hands-on role in financial modeling, due diligence, industry landscaping, valuation, and ongoing portfolio support. While the focus is on private equity and platform investing, the role will also occasionally involve analyzing listed small-cap equities for opportunistic investments. You'll be expected to leverage AI tools and frameworks to enhance research speed and insight generation. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct market research, sector scans, and thematic deep dives across fragmented industries. - Support the sourcing, evaluation, and diligence of new platform opportunities and bolt-on acquisitions. - Build detailed financial models (LBOs, operating models, synergy scenarios, etc.) and valuation analyses (trading comps, transaction comps, DCF). - Occasionally analyze small-cap public equities for listed-market investment opportunities. - Prepare investment memos and contribute to internal and external communications. - Track portfolio company performance and support with reporting, strategic analysis, and follow-on capital planning. - Identify process improvements, automation, and data tools (including AI/LLMs) that accelerate research and enhance investment workflows. - Communicate insights clearly and reliably in collaboration with client stakeholders. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. CFA/MBA is a plus. - Minimum 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, equity research, or transaction advisory roles. - Strong foundational skills in financial modeling, valuation, and business analysis. - Exposure to small-cap public markets and/or private transactions. - Strong communication and presentation skills-written and verbal. - Proficiency with Excel; PowerPoint skills are good to have but not mandatory. - Familiarity with data platforms like Capital IQ, PitchBook, or similar. - Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines. Preferred Skills: - Experience using AI/LLM tools to automate or enhance research, modeling, or information synthesis. - Knowledge of fragmented sectors and roll-up/platform strategies. - Experience working with or supporting offshore clients. - High initiative and independent problem-solving mindset.
