Leader - Artificial Intelligence/R&D - Clinical AI & Multimodal Systems

We are looking for an exceptional AI leader to drive the next generation of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multimodal AI systems in healthcare.

This role sits at the intersection of advanced AI research, clinical safety, regulatory alignment, and real-world deployment in low-resource environments.

If you have experience building AI systems that must work not just in labs; but in the messy, unpredictable reality of frontline healthcare; this role is built for you.

What You'll Lead:

- Enterprise roadmap for LLM & Multimodal AI systems

- Architecture across Prompting, Fine-tuning, RAG & Guardrails

- AI safety, hallucination mitigation & human-in-the-loop systems

- SaMD-aligned AI lifecycle, compliance & regulatory readiness

- Multimodal systems spanning Text, Voice, Vision & Structured Clinical Data

- AI deployment in low-bandwidth, low-resource healthcare environments

- Cross-functional collaboration with clinicians, product & engineering teams

- Technical leadership, mentoring & team building

What We're Looking For:

- Advanced degree (PhD / MD / MS or equivalent experience) in AI, ML, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields

- 6+ years of experience with strong exposure to LLMs and/or multimodal systems

- Hands-on expertise in Prompt Engineering, Fine-tuning, RAG, Evaluation & AI Guardrails

- Experience with Healthcare AI / Digital Health / SaMD ecosystems

- Understanding of FDA / CE / CDSCO or related regulatory frameworks

- Prior experience leading technical AI teams

- Strong systems-thinking, ownership mindset & ability to operate under ambiguity
