Lead - Valuation & IFRS - Insurance

Job Description : Lead Valuation & IFRS (Health Insurance)

Role Purpose :

The role will be responsible for managing actuarial valuation, IFRS reporting, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting for the Health Insurance business. The incumbent will work closely with Finance, Actuarial, and Business teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and timely delivery of financial insights.

Key Responsibilities :

- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual actuarial valuation processes for Health Insurance business.

- Prepare and review IFRS 17 reporting, disclosures, and related financial analysis.

- Assist in reserve calculations, liability valuation, and profitability analysis.

- Coordinate with Finance and Actuarial teams for financial closing activities.

- Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, IFRS standards, and internal governance - requirements.

- Analyze business performance trends, claims experience, and product profitability.

- Support automation and process improvement initiatives within valuation and reporting processes.

- Prepare management reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior stakeholders.

- Work with auditors and external consultants during audits and regulatory reviews.

- Support implementation and enhancement of actuarial models and reporting tools.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- Qualified / Nearly Qualified Actuary with relevant experience in Health Insurance.

- Strong understanding of IFRS 17, actuarial valuation, and insurance accounting principles.

- Experience in Health Insurance valuation and reserving processes.

- Knowledge of IRDAI regulations and statutory reporting requirements.

- Proficiency in actuarial and analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, Prophet, R, Python, or similar platforms.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience :

- 8-10 years of experience in Valuation/IFRS/Actuarial domain within Insurance industry.

- Prior experience in Health Insurance will be preferred.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field.

- Maximum Actuarial papers cleared
