Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on TA Lead who understands the EV / automotive / battery ecosystem and can build a high-quality talent pipeline across technical, corporate and business functions.
The ideal candidate will combine strong market understanding, data-driven hiring, stakeholder management and excellent execution. This is not a purely strategic TA role - the person should be comfortable personally driving critical mandates, identifying talent, building talent pools and closing difficult positions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end talent acquisition charter across corporate, technology, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, commercial and other business functions.
- Build deep talent understanding across the EV, automotive, battery, mobility and adjacent technology ecosystem.
- Partner closely with business leaders and hiring managers to understand capability requirements and translate them into effective hiring strategies.
- Personally drive critical and senior-level searches, from sourcing and market mapping through assessment, stakeholder management and closure.
- Develop and maintain target-company and talent maps across EV, automotive, battery, OEM, auto-component and relevant startup ecosystems.
- Build a data-driven TA engine, tracking metrics such as time-to-hire, source effectiveness, funnel conversion, offer-to-join ratio, quality of hire and hiring productivity.
- Use hiring data and market intelligence to identify bottlenecks and continuously improve strike rate and closure ratios.
- Build proactive talent pipelines for niche and future-critical capabilities rather than relying only on active applicants.
- Strengthen sourcing channels, including direct sourcing, referrals, LinkedIn, internal databases and specialised talent networks.
- Work closely with business leaders to improve candidate experience, assessment quality and offer conversion.
- Build scalable TA processes while remaining sufficiently hands-on to execute against immediate hiring requirements.
- Lead and mentor the TA team, setting clear priorities, productivity benchmarks and hiring outcomes.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 8 - 12 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with meaningful exposure to EV, automotive, battery, mobility, auto-components or adjacent technology businesses.
- Strong understanding of the EV ecosystem and talent landscape - engineering, battery, manufacturing, supply chain, product, technology and commercial talent.
- Experience hiring in a high-growth / startup environment with evolving business requirements.
- Strong data orientation with the ability to use recruitment metrics to drive decisions and improve hiring outcomes.
- Proven experience in hands-on sourcing and closing, particularly for niche and difficult-to-hire roles.
- Strong executive stakeholder management and the ability to influence hiring managers.
- Demonstrated ability to build talent maps, target-company lists and proactive pipelines.
- Comfortable operating in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
- Strong commercial orientation - understands that TA is ultimately accountable for quality, speed and closure, not just activity.
What We Are Looking For:
Domain depth + data orientation + execution mindset.
Someone who can understand the EV talent market, identify where the right talent sits, use data to improve the hiring funnel, and personally drive searches to closure.
The ideal candidate should be equally comfortable discussing a talent strategy with the CHRO/business head and getting into LinkedIn, databases or candidate conversations to close a difficult position.
