Our client is seeking a seasoned technical leader to head their Systems & Applications Engineering division, with a specific focus on power products. In this highly visible leadership role, you will act as the bridge between market needs, engineering execution, and customer success.
The core responsibilities of this role include :
- Market & Product Planning : Identify emerging trends and customer pain points. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and business leaders to define new product specifications and multi-year roadmaps.
- Customer Technical Engagement : Act as the senior technical authority for major accounts. Lead design-in activities, review customer schematics, troubleshoot field issues, and drive root-cause analysis for returns.
- Cross-functional Leadership : Align hardware, software, and validation teams to ensure seamless system integration. Drive system-level modeling and create robust validation plans that cover real-world corner cases.
- Team Growth : Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of technical specialists, fostering an ownership-driven culture that thrives in a fast-moving environment.
- Thought Leadership : Produce high-impact technical collateral (reference designs, white papers, training modules) and present to diverse audiences ranging from engineers to C-suite executives.
- This role requires a rare combination of deep hardware intuition, commercial awareness, and the agility to pivot between strategic planning and hands-on technical problem-solving.
Required qualifications :
- 15+ years of hands-on experience in complex hardware logic design and architecture.
- Deep expertise in hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL) for defining high-performance digital logic.
- Strong understanding of timing closure, clocking strategies, reset architectures, and low-power implementation techniques.
- Extensive experience with industry-standard electronic design automation (EDA) tools for simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis.
- Proficiency with design quality and verification tools (e.g., linting, CDC/RDC checks).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Perl, or Shell) to automate design workflows and data analysis.
- Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and elevate team-wide technical standards.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with verification, physical design, and software teams.
