Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished leader to drive high-impact strategic and transformation initiatives across the aerospace, defence, and aviation ecosystem. The role will focus on advising government bodies, public sector enterprises, and global OEMs on strategy, operations, policy, and large-scale program execution.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Advisory & Transformation :

- Lead end-to-end transformation programs for defence and aerospace organizations, including operational restructuring, growth strategy, and institutional reform.

- Drive large-scale engagements with organizations such as the Indian Air Force and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, focusing on operational efficiency, asset availability, and long-term capability development.

- Spearhead corporatization, modernization, and performance improvement initiatives across public sector defence enterprises, including transformation of entities like the Indian Ordnance Factory Board.

Program Leadership & Execution :

- Lead complex, multi-year consulting engagements, ensuring delivery excellence, stakeholder alignment, and measurable impact.

- Program-manage international collaborations, including partnerships with global OEMs such as Embraer, focusing on localization strategy and indigenous capability development.

- Oversee cross-functional teams to deliver strategic outcomes across operations, supply chain, R&D, and administration.

Policy & Government Advisory :

- Contribute to national-level policy formulation and sectoral vision documents, including initiatives similar to the National Civil Aviation Policy 2016 and long-term aviation roadmaps.

- Advise ministries and regulators on aviation, defence, and space sector reforms, investment strategies, and ecosystem development.

- Lead policy design and bid management for strategic national programs in aerospace and space.

Aviation & Space Sector Initiatives :

- Drive strategic and business planning for advanced aviation systems such as GAGAN (GPS Aided Geo Augmented Navigation System) in collaboration with organizations like the Airports Authority of India.

- Support airport operators and aviation stakeholders with operational optimization, capacity planning, and infrastructure readiness (including international engagements).

- Lead initiatives across the space value chain, including assembly, integration, and testing programs for national space missions.

Client & Stakeholder Management :

- Build and maintain relationships with senior government officials, defence leadership, and CXOs of global and domestic aerospace firms.

- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, enabling structured decision-making and long-term strategic alignment.

- Represent the organization in high-level forums, industry bodies, and international collaborations.

Qualifications & Experience :

- 8+ years of experience in aerospace, defence, aviation consulting, or related sectors.

- Proven track record of leading large-scale transformation or strategy engagements.

- Experience working with government bodies, PSUs, and global OEMs.

- Strong understanding of MRO, supply chain management, R&D ecosystems, and policy frameworks in aerospace and defence.

- Prior involvement in national-level policy or large public-sector programs is highly desirable.
