Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivery Leadership:
- You will own the end-to-end delivery of projects for global clients.
- Manage a large portfolio of engagements (many clients/projects at once).
- Lead and motivate a big team (100+ people), which includes:
Delivery Managers
Tech Leads
Developers
Analysts
Testers
Build a culture of high performance by mentoring and reviewing team members, giving feedback, and helping them grow.
2. Automation and Innovation:
- Encourage your teams to always think about automation - doing things faster, cheaper, and more reliably with less manual effort.
- Continuously improve systems, workflows, and support operations.
- Goal: Do more with less - improve performance while reducing costs.
3. Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations and ensure they're satisfied with delivery.
- Share updates (status, risks, issues) clearly with them.
- Bridge communication between clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
4. Project Management:
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of projects and change requests.
- Create detailed project plans - defining scope, timelines, milestones, deliverables.
- Make sure projects finish on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Hold regular status meetings with teams and stakeholders to keep everything on track.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all outputs meet high quality standards and comply with client regulations.
- Implement and enforce best practices in software development and project management.
- Run regular reviews and audits to make sure quality doesn't slip.
6. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks early (like delays, technical challenges, or resource issues).
- Create backup plans to address those risks.
- Continuously monitor risks during project lifecycle and resolve them quickly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Engineering / Computer Science / IT degree (MBA is a plus).
- Certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 are good to have but not mandatory.
Experience:
- At least 10 years in software delivery leadership.
- Healthcare domain experience is required (important since projects are in healthcare).
- Experience managing large teams (100+ people).
Technical Skills:
- Strong project and stakeholder management expertise.
- Familiarity with modern software tools, development processes, and architecture concepts.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong communication (since you'll talk to clients, leaders, and teams).
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good at problem-solving and decision-making.
- Very organized and detail-oriented.
