SAP MDG Lead/Senior Consultant (Freelancer or Full time)

Role Overview:

As an SAP MDG Lead/Senior Consultant, you will serve as the strategic architect for our clients' master data landscape, driving the design and implementation of robust data governance frameworks. You will work closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and cross-functional project teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable SAP MDG solutions. Your day-to-day involves overseeing end-to-end project lifecycles, from blueprinting and configuration to deployment and hyper-care. By ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the enterprise, you will directly influence operational efficiency and empower leadership to make data-driven decisions with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and configure end-to-end SAP MDG solutions for domains such as Finance, Customer, Vendor, and Material to streamline data lifecycle management for global clients.

- Lead complex data migration and integration projects, ensuring seamless synchronization between SAP MDG and peripheral ERP or legacy systems to maintain a single source of truth.

- Define and implement comprehensive data governance policies, workflows, and validation rules to minimize data redundancy and improve overall data quality across the organization.

- Collaborate with business process owners to identify pain points in data management and deliver innovative technical solutions that enhance operational productivity.

- Mentor junior consultants and provide technical guidance during critical project phases, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the delivery team.

- Manage stakeholder expectations through transparent communication, providing regular progress updates and strategic recommendations to ensure project alignment with business objectives.

Required Skillset:

- Proven expertise in designing and deploying SAP MDG solutions, with a deep understanding of data modeling, UI configuration, and BRF+ rules.

- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale digital transformation initiatives, balancing technical rigor with a focus on delivering tangible business value.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at the leadership level.

- Strong analytical mindset, capable of diagnosing intricate data issues and developing sustainable, long-term architectural solutions.

- Proven track record of working effectively in diverse, geographically distributed teams, maintaining high standards of collaboration in both remote and hybrid environments.

- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, complemented by a professional demeanor and a commitment to staying abreast of evolving SAP technologies.

- Minimum 9 to 20 years of professional experience in SAP consulting, with a focus on Master Data Management and governance strategies.
