Description:
We are looking for a highly driven and relationship-oriented Sales Lead/BD Lead to spearhead business growth in the non-IT executive search practice. The ideal candidate brings deep understanding of leadership hiring, strong stakeholder management skills, and proven experience in winning and managing clients across non-tech sectors such as Manufacturing, BFSI, Consumer, Pharma, Telecom, Retail, Energy, Logistics, and more.
This is a strategic front-line role responsible for new client acquisition, CXO-level engagement, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. New Client Acquisition (Non-Tech / Non-IT Domains):
- Identify, target, and acquire new clients across non-tech industries for leadership and mid-senior level hiring mandates.
- Build a robust pipeline of prospective accounts through market research, networking, referrals, and outreach.
- Understand organizational structures and talent needs to position executive search solutions effectively.
2. CXO-Level Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Engage, influence, and present to CXOs, CHROs, Business Heads, and Senior Leadership teams.
- Build long-term, trusted relationships with decision-makers.
- Conduct in-depth discussions to understand workforce plans, hiring challenges, succession planning needs, and future talent requirements.
- Provide consultative insights, talent market intelligence, and solutions aligned with client goals.
3. Sales Planning, Forecasting & Target Achievement:
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets across assigned sectors.
- Work closely with internal leadership to build sales forecasts, go-to-market plans, and account strategies.
- Track sales metrics, conversions, and mandate closures; ensure accurate reporting and pipeline visibility.
- Drive consistent execution to achieve and exceed targets within defined timelines.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with research teams, delivery teams, and practice leaders to ensure seamless execution of mandates.
- Align client expectations with internal delivery capabilities and ensure a high-quality experience.
- Work alongside leadership on strategic initiatives, proposals, pricing decisions, and client presentations.
5. Market Intelligence & Strategic Inputs:
- Stay updated on hiring trends, competitive landscape, and emerging non-tech sectors.
- Share market insights with internal stakeholders to help shape business strategy and positioning.
- Identify opportunities for additional service offerings or expansion into new client segments.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong experience in executive search / recruitment sales, ideally in the non-IT space.
- Proven track record in new business acquisition and consultative selling.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence leadership teams and drive high-value discussions.
- Strong planning, pipeline management, and target achievement capabilities.
- Self-driven, numbers-focused, and comfortable in a high-performance environment.
