This role focuses on strengthening supply chain performance across multiple teams and sites by coaching leaders, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement. You will work closely with planning, operations, logistics, and material handling teams to build efficient, reliable, and customer-focused supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Leadership & Coaching:
- Coach site-level supply chain leaders on core operational practices such as daily management, visual management, problem-solving, and action planning.
- Support teams in setting up KPI tracking routines and performance review meetings.
- Structure improvement projects and lead workshops and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with value stream mapping.
Demand Planning & Scheduling:
- Partner with the demand planning team to build and improve planning processes.
- Improve demand forecasting, capacity planning, production scheduling, and weekly execution planning.
- Implement pull systems to reduce work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory.
- Improve delivery performance, safety, quality, and cost metrics.
Supply Planning & Procurement Coordination:
- Work with the supply planning team to convert production plans into accurate supplier orders.
- Track incoming materials and maintain optimal raw material inventory levels.
- Support inbound logistics improvements and lead-time reduction in collaboration with procurement and logistics teams.
Material Handling & Warehouse Operations:
- Support shop-floor operations, safety, and data accuracy.
- Improve inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and system validation.
- Work with engineering and finance teams to improve layouts, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Required Experience:
- 12-18 years of total experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics functions.
- 7-10 years of experience in senior or leadership roles managing multi-functional supply chain teams.
- Strong experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and material handling.
- Proven track record of driving measurable improvements in delivery performance, inventory optimisation, and cost reduction.
- Experience working in complex, cross-functional, or matrix organisations is preferred.
Education & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
Technical & Professional Skills:
- Strong understanding of Lean principles, waste elimination, and continuous improvement practices.
- Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) or supply chain certifications are an advantage.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP and BI tools.
- Exposure to digital supply chain technologies is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Clear communication and presentation abilities.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams and regions.
