Lead Project Manager - FinTech

Job Description :

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex fintech projects from initiation to closure.

- Own project scope, roadmap, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.

- Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, architects, QA, security, compliance, operations, and business stakeholders.

- Manage multiple concurrent projects involving digital payments, banking platforms, lending, wallets, financial products, or enterprise fintech solutions.

- Translate business objectives into actionable project plans, milestones, and delivery strategies.

- Establish project governance frameworks, reporting structures, and communication cadences.

- Track project progress using Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog prioritization, stakeholder reviews, and delivery retrospectives.

- Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies; develop mitigation plans and drive resolution.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory, security, compliance, and data protection requirements relevant to fintech products.

- Coordinate with internal and external teams, vendors, and technology partners to ensure smooth delivery.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 5-10 years of experience in project/program management, preferably within fintech, banking, payments, financial services, or digital transformation environments.

- Proven experience managing large-scale technology projects with multiple teams and stakeholders.

- Strong understanding of fintech ecosystems such as :

i. Digital payments and payment gateways

ii. Banking platforms and APIs

iii. Digital wallets

iv. Lending platforms

v. KYC/AML and compliance workflows

vi. Financial integrations and third-party services

- Experience working with distributed/remote teams across regions.

- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and hybrid project delivery models.

- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Monday.com, or similar platforms.

- Ability to manage senior stakeholders, including business leaders, technology heads, and external partners.

- Certifications preferred :

i. PMP / PRINCE2

ii. Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

iii. SAFe Agile

iv. PMI-ACP
