What You Will Own:

Programme Strategy & Scale:

- Own the Theory of Change and Logical Framework; lead SOP development across all three pathways (Livelihood, Financial Wellbeing, Household Resilience).

- Set quality benchmarks and graduation criteria; define decision gates for every stage of the 24-month beneficiary journey.

Expansion & Community Activation:

- Own the expansion pipeline end-to-end: area identification, community shortlisting, baseline surveys, beneficiary selection, orientation, and activation.

- Drive the community activation timeline ensure new communities move through the pipeline on schedule and that field team staffing (Field Coordinators and Community Officers) is in place before activation.

Programme Delivery:

- Hold accountability for delivery across all programme components from community identification through to graduation at Month 24.

- Approve community shortlists, beneficiary enrolment, and graduation decisions.

- Chair weekly programme reviews and ensure data-driven decision-making across the team.

Budget & Funder Relationships:

- Own the programme budget annual planning, procurement, grant utilisation, and variance management.

- Serve as the primary programme contact for institutional donors quarterly reporting, donor reviews, site visits, and impact evidence.

- Maintain and grow the partnership ecosystem: training institutes, microfinance partners, corporate CSR partners, government bodies, and NGOs.

Monitoring, Quality & Reporting:

- Own the programme reporting cycle from operational reviews through to outcome tracking and Board updates.

- Drive quality assurance: field verification standards, data accuracy, risk management, and documentation discipline.

- Work with technology to build efficient operational models and monitoring systems streamline field workflows, automate reporting, and use data to drive programme decisions at every level.

Team Leadership:

- Lead Programme Managers and the Programme Associate directly; through them, the full field team of Field Coordinators and Community Officers.

- Set goals, cascade targets, conduct appraisals, and build capacity through structured onboarding, training, and development pathways.

What You Bring:

Experience (10-13 years):

- At least 3-5 years in a senior programme leadership role in the social development sector.

- Proven experience scaling a programme taking a working model from its initial phase to significantly larger reach by expanding beneficiary numbers and community coverage. This is essential.

- Strong field management experience you must be someone who has spent significant time on the ground, managing field teams, understanding community dynamics first-hand, and solving operational problems in real time. This role requires equal comfort in strategy and in the field.

- End-to-end field programme ownership: community engagement, beneficiary selection, intervention delivery, monitoring, and impact reporting.

- Institutional donor management, grant utilisation reporting, and multi-tier team leadership (managing managers, not just individual contributors).

- Budget ownership at programme level. Experience with poverty-graduation or BRAC-style programming is strongly preferred.

- Comfort with technology as an operational tool experience using or building MIS platforms, digital monitoring systems, or data dashboards to improve programme efficiency. You don't need to be a technologist, but you must see technology as a lever for better operations, not just a reporting requirement.

- Based in Bangalore with strong knowledge of the city its neighbourhoods, civic structures, government offices, and the urban poverty landscape. Ability to build and leverage local partnerships with government bodies, training institutes, banks, NGOs, and community organisations in Bangalore is essential.

Education & Languages:

- Postgraduate preferred (MBA, MSW, Development Studies, MPA). Strong candidates with a graduate degree and directly relevant scaling experience will be considered.

- English mandatory; Kannada required you will be engaging with field teams, community members, and local government in Kannada regularly.
