Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering

Preferred Qualification: MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management

Industry Preference: Lighting Industry

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Lighting Procurement Lead who will be responsible for managing India and International suppliers across procurement strategy, cost optimization, delivery performance, NPD, quality, warranty, service spares, and compliance for the lighting business.

This role requires regular interaction with senior management and cross-functional teams to drive procurement excellence and strategic vendor partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own vendor relationships and drive strategic impact through Vendor Strategy Development

- Lead vendor negotiations with a clear long-term sourcing strategy

- Establish baseline and target pricing for negotiation and procurement planning

- Monitor industry benchmarks, supplier market intelligence, and commodity trends

- Own vendor contracts and negotiations for Lighting Business Procurement

- Understand vendor positioning, capabilities, investment themes, and market competitiveness

- Manage vendor performance across quality, delivery, cost, compliance, innovation, and NPD

- Drive stakeholder alignment across suppliers, Marketing, R&D, Quality, and Business teams

- Monitor project execution and ensure procurement alignment with business goals

- Handle warranty settlements and service spare availability management

- Prepare regular reports for management covering compliance, spend, savings, agreements, delivery performance, and quarterly account reconciliation

- Drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes, technologies, and digitization

- Identify opportunities for leverage and cost optimization with Commodity Management and Cost Analyst teams

- Lead product costing and Zero-Based Costing with strong market benchmarking

- Build strong internal and external stakeholder networks for knowledge sharing and best practices

Required Skills & Experience:

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, etc.)

- MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management preferred

- Strong experience in Lighting Procurement and Supplier Management

- Deep understanding of supplier manufacturing processes and part cost roll-ups

- Strong expertise in costing and Zero-Based Costing methodologies

- Knowledge of commodity price trends and market benchmarking

- Experience in international sourcing and supplier development

- Strong exposure to die casting, injection moulding, tooling, and manufacturing methodologies

- Experience in part development and outside India procurement

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills

- Highly motivated, action-oriented, and result-driven mindset

- Strong cross-functional collaboration and business understanding

- Ability to align local execution with global procurement strategies

- High accuracy, ownership, urgency, and quality-focused execution
