Lead/Principal Analyst - Fundamental Equities

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our Fundamental Equities team within the Financial Research function. This role will work closely with front office stakeholders to deliver in-depth company research and support investment decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Cover companies within the Energy and Industrials sectors

- Build and maintain detailed financial models (DCF, relative valuation, scenario & sensitivity analysis)

- Track earnings releases, news flow, and sell-side research updates

- Develop investment theses highlighting risks, catalysts, and valuation insights

- Conduct peer benchmarking and industry analysis

- Prepare high-quality research notes and presentations

- Participate in management calls, expert calls, and sector discussions

- Maintain industry trackers and databases to support research coverage

- Collaborate with front office teams to refine and evolve investment views

Required Qualifications:

- MBA (Finance), CA, or CFA

- 5-10 years of relevant experience in equity research or investment research

- Strong hands-on financial modeling and valuation expertise

- Excellent analytical and communication skills

- Prior experience covering Energy or Industrials sector preferred

Preferred Background:

- Experience in buy-side or sell-side equity research

- Exposure to global markets is an added advantage
