Job Title : Lead - Performance Marketing
Function : Marketing / Growth
Level : Senior Manager / Lead
About the Role :
- We are looking for a Performance Marketing Lead who will own paid acquisition across all digital channels - from strategy and budget allocation to execution, optimisation, and measurement. This is a high-ownership role for someone who thinks in funnels, lives in dashboards, and has a proven track record of scaling efficient growth through data-driven paid media.
- You will lead a team of performance marketers and agency partners, working closely with product, brand, data, and business teams to drive measurable revenue and user growth at the lowest possible cost.
What You Will Own :
Paid Acquisition Strategy :
Own the full performance marketing strategy across channels - Google Search, Display, YouTube, Meta, Instagram, Snapchat, affiliate, and programmatic
Define channel mix, budget allocation, and bidding strategy based on business objectives and CAC targets
Build always-on campaigns alongside seasonal and launch-driven campaign strategies
Identify new and emerging channels - CTV, influencer performance, vernacular platforms - and test them with structured experiments
Campaign Management & Optimisation :
- Own end-to-end campaign setup, management, and optimisation across all paid channels
- Monitor campaign performance daily - CTR, CPM, CPC, CPA, ROAS, and CAC - and make real-time optimisation decisions
- Run structured A/B tests on creatives, audiences, landing pages, bidding strategies, and offers
- Manage large-scale budgets with accountability for efficiency and outcome delivery
Funnel Ownership & Conversion Optimisation :
- Own the paid-to-conversion funnel - from ad impression through landing page, sign-up, and first transaction
- Work with product and design to optimise landing pages, app store listings, and post-click experiences
- Identify funnel drop-off points and build experiments to improve conversion at each stage
- Integrate performance marketing with CRM and lifecycle flows to maximise LTV from acquired users
Data, Analytics & Attribution :
- Build and own the performance marketing measurement framework - attribution model, incrementality testing, and media mix modelling
- Partner with data and analytics teams to ensure accurate tracking, pixel health, and event firing across all platforms
- Define and monitor north star metrics - blended CAC, payback period, ROAS by cohort, and revenue contribution by channel
- Create weekly and monthly performance dashboards for leadership and business stakeholders
Creative Strategy & Production :
- Partner with brand and creative teams to develop high-performing ad creatives - static, video, carousel, and native formats
- Build a creative testing framework - hypothesis-driven testing of hooks, formats, messaging, and CTAs
- Analyse creative performance data to identify winning patterns and brief the next iteration
- Ensure creative output is aligned with channel-specific best practices and audience signals
Team & Agency Management :
- Lead and mentor a team of 3-6 performance marketing managers and associates
- Manage relationships with media agencies, ad tech platforms, and affiliate networks
- Set clear KPIs for team members and hold regular performance reviews
- Build in-house capability over time - reduce dependency on agencies for core execution
Budget Management :
- Own the performance marketing P&L - annual budget planning, monthly forecasting, and real-time reallocation
- Maintain rigorous spend governance - ensure every rupee is tracked, justified, and optimised
- Report spend vs outcome to the CMO and business leadership on a regular cadence
Who We Are Looking For :
Experience :
- 6-10 years in performance marketing with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role owning large budgets
