Role Overview
We are looking for a Lead - Performance Management to build and scale Vahan's performance and rewards ecosystem from the ground up.
This role goes beyond traditional PMS-you will own how goals are set, performance is evaluated, and ownership is rewarded, including end-to-end ESOP lifecycle management.
You will work closely with founders and leadership to drive clarity, accountability, and long-term wealth creation for employees.
CTC - 30-35 Lakhs + ESOPs
Key Responsibilities
1. Build & Institutionalize PMS
- Design and roll out a company-wide Performance Management System (PMS) from scratch
- Define performance cycles, review frameworks, and calibration processes
- Ensure alignment with business goals and company growth stage
2. Own OKR Framework & Execution
- Lead end-to-end OKR design, rollout, and tracking across Tech and Non-Tech teams
- Drive quarterly planning, goal-setting rigor, and review cadences
- Enable teams to set ambitious, measurable, and outcome-driven goals
3. Tool Ownership
- Implement and manage Lattice PMS Tool
- Customize workflows, dashboards, and reporting for leadership visibility
- Drive adoption and ensure high-quality usage across teams
4. Performance Governance & Insights
- Track performance metrics and generate actionable insights for leadership
- Run calibration processes to ensure fairness and consistency
- Identify performance gaps and drive improvement interventions
5. ESOP Management & Ownership
- Own the end-to-end ESOP lifecycle, including:
- Grant structuring and allotment processes
- Vesting tracking and employee communication
- Coordination with finance, legal, and external partners
- Managing buyback / liquidity events and execution
- Ensure ESOPs are positioned as a clear performance and retention lever
- Build transparency and awareness around equity for employees
6. Stakeholder Partnering
- Partner with leadership across Tech, Product, Business, and Ops teams
- Coach managers on goal-setting, feedback, and performance conversations
- Act as a custodian of a high-performance, high-ownership culture
What We're Looking For
- 3-6 years of experience in Performance Management / HRBP / Talent roles
- Hands-on experience with OKRs and performance frameworks at scale
- Prior experience managing or supporting ESOP programs (allotment, tracking, buybacks)
- Experience working with Lattice PMS tool or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of startup performance and compensation dynamics
- High ownership, structured thinking, and ability to operate in ambiguity
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

- PMS and OKR frameworks fully implemented with strong adoption
- Clear alignment between company goals and team execution
- Leadership has real-time visibility into performance metrics
- ESOP processes are streamlined, transparent, and well-understood by employees
- Successful execution of any ESOP grants or buyback events
- Measurable improvement in performance accountability and retention
