About the Role:

Were looking for a Merchant Partnerships Lead to build and scale Xoxodays merchant ecosystem in India for banking and enterprise clients.

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you will drive merchant-funded offer programs across cards (credit/debit/prepaid) and work closely with banks, card networks, and enterprise clients to unlock growth.

What Youll Own?

1. Merchant Ecosystem Build:

- Own end-to-end onboarding of merchant partners

- Build a strong portfolio across:

a. Dining, Food Delivery, Travel, Hotels

b. Entertainment, Lifestyle, Wellness, Services

- Define onboarding frameworks: KYB, commercials, SLAs, offer constructs

2. Banking & Card Offer Programs:

- Design and execute merchant-funded offers for credit/debit/prepaid cards

- Build constructs like:

BIN-based / MCC-based / Spend-based offers

- Own end-to-end lifecycle: ideation - launch - optimization - renewal

- Ensure strong T&Cs, fraud controls, and seamless redemption experience

3. Commercials & Revenue Optimization:

- Lead merchant negotiations (funding, revenue share, discounts)

- Design bundled & seasonal offers for higher engagement

- Optimize redemption curves, margins, and ROI

4. Team Leadership & Ownership:

- Build and lead partnerships & operations teams

- Own targets: onboarding, coverage, utilization, revenue

- Drive performance tracking, dashboards, and accountability

5. Operations, Delivery & Governance:

- Ensure end-to-end offer delivery & uptime

- Define SOPs for onboarding, launches, and issue resolution

- Act as escalation owner for critical issues

6. Merchant Enablement & Quality:

- Train merchants on offer mechanics & CX standards

- Run QA frameworks, mystery audits, and performance reviews

- Continuously improve merchant quality & experience

- 4-10 years of experience in:

- Merchant Partnerships / Ecosystem / Alliances

Strong experience in:

- Onboarding and managing merchants across multiple categories

- Designing or executing merchant-funded offer programs

Exposure to:

- Banking / card-linked offers / loyalty platforms / fintech ecosystems

Proven ability to:

- Negotiate commercials and close high-value partnerships

- Manage end-to-end merchant lifecycle

Must-Have Experience:

- Merchant onboarding, partnerships, or ecosystem management

- Experience across categories like dining, travel, lifestyle, etc.

Hands-on experience with:

- Merchant-funded offers / banking programs / loyalty campaigns

Strong understanding of:

- Credit/Debit card offers (BIN, MCC, spend-based constructs)
