Lead Manager - Procurement

We are looking for an experienced Lead Manager - Procurement to lead strategic procurement activities for large, complex equipment categories such as Nacelle, Hub, and Towers within a global service supply chain. The role involves owning long-term commodity strategy, managing a high-value spend portfolio, and leading a team of strategic procurement professionals in a matrixed, international environment.

This position is based in Chennai, India, and operates in close collaboration with regional and global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and lead global strategic procurement for Service categories including Nacelle, Hub, and Towers

- Manage and develop a team of 10 strategic purchasers and specialists, driving high performance and capability building

- Define and execute the long-term commodity strategy aligned with service business requirements

- Build and sustain strong, long-term partnerships with key suppliers, delivering value through collaboration and supplier development

- Shape and define the future service supply base, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders

- Collaborate with regional and global matrix organizations to ensure strategy execution

- Drive supplier base rationalization and reduce part number complexity to improve efficiency and cost competitiveness

Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or Engineering

- 5+ years of experience in strategic procurement or category management

- Experience managing large procurement spends (approx. 200M annually)

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

- Experience in renewable energy / heavy engineering / wind industry is an advantage

- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
