About the Role:
We are looking for a Manager / Senior Manager - Merchant Partnerships to build and scale Xoxoday's merchant ecosystem for banking and enterprise clients across India.
This role will drive merchant partnerships, banking offer programs, and ecosystem expansion across categories such as dining, travel, hotels, entertainment, lifestyle, and services. You will work closely with banks, card networks, enterprise clients, and internal teams to design and execute high-impact merchant-funded offer programs.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who understands merchant partnerships, banking-led offers, and loyalty ecosystems, and can scale partnerships, processes, and revenue impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchant Partnerships & Ecosystem Build
- Build and expand merchant partnerships across dining, travel, hotels, entertainment, lifestyle, wellness, and services.
- Own end-to-end merchant onboarding including commercials, SLAs, and operational readiness.
- Develop a strong merchant ecosystem to support banking and enterprise offer programs.
Banking & Card Offer Programs
- Design and execute merchant-funded offers for credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, and enterprise rewards programs.
- Work on BIN-based, MCC-based, and spend-based offer constructs.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of offers - ideation, launch, monitoring, and renewals.
Commercials & Revenue Optimization
- Lead merchant negotiations including funding models, revenue share, and discount structures.
- Design bundled and seasonal campaigns to maximize merchant participation.
- Track redemption performance and optimize margin and campaign ROI.
Partnerships Governance & Execution
- Ensure smooth execution of merchant campaigns and customer experience.
- Define processes for onboarding, campaign launches, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams including product, operations, and growth to scale merchant programs.
Merchant Performance & Quality
- Monitor merchant performance, campaign success, and utilization metrics.
- Drive merchant engagement, training, and operational alignment for offer execution.
- Maintain strong delivery standards aligned with banking and enterprise client requirements.
Ideal Candidate:
- 4-10 years of experience in merchant partnerships, ecosystem partnerships, or banking partnerships.
- Strong experience onboarding and managing merchants across categories like dining, travel, hotels, entertainment, lifestyle, or services.
- Experience working with banks, card networks, fintech platforms, or loyalty/rewards ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience designing or executing merchant-funded offers or card-linked campaigns.
- Strong experience negotiating merchant commercials, funding models, and partnership agreements.
- Experience managing the full merchant lifecycle - onboarding, campaign launch, performance tracking, and renewals.
- Preferred Background: Fintech, loyalty platforms, banking partnerships, or merchant ecosystem businesses
