Role Description:
The Head IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading and managing the organizations entire infrastructure landscape, including on-premises data centres, cloud operations, FinOps, service delivery, and security controls. This role demands deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and operational excellence to ensure high availability, scalability, and compliance across all infrastructure platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the infrastructure roadmap across datacentres, cloud platforms, networks, and storage systems.
- Lead cloud enablement, hybrid operations, and optimization initiatives in collaboration with empanelled vendors.
- Oversee capacity planning, performance tuning, and system reliability in line with business growth and compliance.
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP), ensuring cost optimization, security, and performance.
- Implement FinOps practices to monitor cloud spend, forecast usage, and drive efficiency.
- Own the Incident, Change, and Problem Management lifecycle, ensuring SLA adherence and continuous improvement.
- Lead the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and ensure structured governance for all infrastructure changes.
- Implement and monitor access controls, patching, and audit mechanisms to ensure regulatory compliance (SEBI, RBI, etc.).
- Collaborate with the Infosec team to maintain robust cybersecurity posture and readiness for external audits.
- Lead cross-functional infrastructure teams and mentor senior technical staff.
- Engage with CXOs, regulators, and business heads to align infrastructure capabilities with strategic goals.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance metrics.
Qualifications & Experience:
- B. Tech/B.E./MBA - (Computers/ IT /Electronics) / MCA
- 15 - 20 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, including data center, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Should have managed a team in the past
