Description:

Plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of IT systems and network infrastructure to ensure stable operation, including developing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing hardware, software, and communication links. Also responsible for telephone, data center, security systems, and other electronic infrastructure.

What youll bring to the team:

- Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans for network capacity.

- The IT Infrastructure Lead is responsible for the design, stability, security, and cost- effective operation of the organizations hybrid IT infrastructure, including on-premise systems, public/private cloud platforms, and end-user computing (laptops/desktops).

- The role operates through managed service partners, ensuring strong governance, SLA adherence, and continuous improvement aligned to business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Hybrid Cloud & Data Center Management

- Own and manage hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + public cloud such as AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Define and govern cloud architecture, landing zones, network, identity, and security models.

- Oversee cloud operations including compute, storage, backup, DR, and monitoring.

- Drive cloud cost optimization (FinOps) and capacity planning.

- Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of infrastructure platforms.

- Lead migration initiatives (on-prem to cloud, cloud modernization).

End-User Computing (EUC) Laptops & Desktops

- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of laptops and desktops: procurement, imaging, deployment, patching, support, and retirement.

- Manage EUC services delivered through managed service providers (MSPs).

- Define and enforce device standards, OS builds, security baselines, and patching policies.

- Ensure seamless user experience across Windows/macOS (as applicable).

- Oversee asset management, license compliance, and refresh cycles.

Managed Services & Vendor Governance

- Act as the single point of accountability for infrastructure and EUC managed service partners.

- Define SLAs, KPIs, and OLAs; conduct regular performance reviews and service governance meetings.

- Ensure incident, problem, and change management processes are followed effectively.

- Drive continuous service improvement and cost efficiency from partners.

Security, Compliance & Risk

- Work closely with Information Security / CISO teams to ensure infrastructure compliance with security standards.

- Ensure endpoint security (EDR, encryption, patching, identity controls).

- Support audits, regulatory compliance, and risk assessments.

- Ensure DR/BCP readiness and conduct periodic testing.

Stakeholder & Business Alignment

- Partner with application teams, business units, and leadership to align infrastructure capabilities with business priorities.

- Translate business demand into scalable infrastructure solutions.

- Provide regular reporting on service health, risks, costs, and improvement initiatives.

Team & Operational Leadership

- Lead internal infrastructure team members (where applicable) and coordinate across partners.

- Define operating procedures, escalation paths, and runbooks.

- Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in infrastructure operations.

- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for network administration.

- Practice network asset management, including inventory and life cycle management.

- Establish service level agreements with end users.

- Take ownership of network problems through resolution.

- Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of hardware and software across the network.

- Research and recommend network products, services, protocols, and standards.

- Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, and project documentation.

- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed systems.

- Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors for network products and services.

- Assess, approve, and administer equipment upgrades.

- Manage security solutions, including firewalls and anti-virus systems.

- Communicate network activities with executives, stakeholders, and end users.

- Manage operational costs and conduct financial forecasts.

- Test network and server performance and develop maintenance strategies.

- Safeguard the organizations processes and policies.

- Strict adherence to SOP and the defined processes

- Encourage consistent and continuous compliance is followed by all employees and vendors with safety and regulatory requirements, standards, and protocols.

- Confirm your actions are compliant as per Information Security Policy.

Requirements:

- Oversee user account administration in Active Directory.

- Direct network analysts and technicians, conduct performance reviews, and provide guidance to junior team members.

- Provide guidance to junior members of the team.

What all qualifications do we expect:

- We're looking for someone with a decent educational background.

Education requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study.

Experience:


- 10-12 Years of experience preferably in the telecommunications industry.

- Experience with a leading company with minimum 7 years as Infrastructure lead.
