Lead - Insurance Claims

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead - Insurance Claims Processing professional with strong hands-on exposure to end-to-end insurance claims operations. This role requires deep understanding of claims processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to guide and support a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle and oversee end-to-end insurance claims processing, including claim initiation, assessment, settlement, and closure.

- Ensure claims are processed in line with policy coverage, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance standards.

- Review and audit claims for accuracy, quality, and turnaround time.

- Manage complex or escalated claims and provide effective resolutions.

- Prepare and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and trackers using Microsoft Excel.

- Analyze claims data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

- Coordinate with internal teams, insurers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth claims operations.

- Support, guide, and mentor team members to meet performance and quality targets.

- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and documentation (SOPs).

Key Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of claims processing, insurance, and types of claims (claim coverage, claims management, auditing, compliance, etc.).

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets, record maintenance, data analysis), PowerPoint, and dashboard creation.

- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience.

- Problem-Solving Approach: Ability to handle challenges and provide solutions.

Experience & Qualifications

- More than 4 years of work experience into insurance claims processing.

- Mandatory experience in end-to-end claims handling

- Experience in non-health insurance claims (e.g., general insurance, motor, property, casualty, or similar)

- Relevant qualification in insurance, finance, or a related field is preferred
