Our client is looking for someone to manage end-to-end payroll processing while supporting core HR operational functions and ensuring statutory compliance across our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll operations, labor laws, and tax regulations, along with the ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Compliance teams to drive seamless employee lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Handle end-to-end monthly payroll processing for on-roll and off-roll employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and business teams for salary inputs, variable payouts, reimbursements, bonuses, and other components.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Compliance & Statutory Contributions:
- Ensure adherence to statutory obligations including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, TDS, and other applicable labor laws.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws, taxation, and compliance frameworks.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the HRMS/payroll system.
- Generate payroll-related MIS reports and support audits through timely reconciliations and documentation.
Employee Query Management:
- Address and resolve employee queries related to salary, payslips, tax deductions, and reimbursements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth payroll operations.
HR Operations :
- Support the HR team in managing employee onboarding, exits (F&F settlements), and documentation updates.
- Assist in maintaining HR records such as offer letters, statutory forms, and proof verifications.
- Collaborate on benefits administration and leave management processes within the HRMS.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll software and HRMS platforms.
- Familiarity with Indian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with large volumes of employee data.
This is an alternate Saturday's working role.
