Role: Lead - Growth Marketing Manager - CRM & Retention (Mobile + Web)
Location: Bengaluru
Employment Type: Full-Time
We're looking for a Growth Marketing Manager - CRM & Retention to own lifecycle marketing and CRM operations across mobile app and web journeys. You'll build and scale retention programs using MoEngage and channels like WhatsApp, email, push, SMS, in-app, and on-site messaging-driving activation, engagement, repeat usage, and revenue.
Qualification
- 5-10 years of experience in Growth/Lifecycle Marketing or CRM for mobile app + web products (consumer/fintech preferred)
- Strong hands-on expertise in MoEngage (segmentation, journeys, event triggers, templates, analytics, personalization)
- Deep understanding of retention marketing concepts: cohorts, churn, lifecycle stages, frequency/recency, incremental impact
- Practical experience managing WhatsApp, email, push, SMS, and in-app campaigns end-to-end
- Strong analytical skills with experience in funnel analysis, A/B testing, cohort analysis, and basic SQL
- Experience working with analytics and attribution tools such as GA4/Firebase, AppsFlyer, Mixpanel/Amplitude, Metabase/Looker
- Understanding of fintech/BFSI communication compliance and regulatory considerations
- Knowledge of deliverability best practices (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, suppression strategy)
- Proven ability to build lifecycle playbooks, automation journeys, and template libraries from scratch
- Strong execution rigor with stakeholder management experience across Product, Design, Data, and Engineering; proficient in tools like Excel/Google Sheets and Figma/Canva for campaign execution
Responsibilities:
- Own lifecycle strategy across onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, cross-sell/upsell, winback, churn prevention, and renewals
- Build and manage multi-channel journeys in MoEngage (segmentation, triggers, personalization, templates, decision logic)
- Lead WhatsApp marketing programs end-to-end (opt-ins, templates, delivery health, performance tracking, conversions)
- Own email marketing operations including list hygiene, deliverability, personalization, and experimentation
- Drive push and in-app messaging strategy with deep links, timing optimization, frequency caps, and targeting
- Optimize web retention journeys (on-site messaging, abandoned flows, event-based triggers)
- Partner with Product, Data, and Engineering to define event tracking and CRM-ready user properties
- Design and execute structured experimentation programs with control groups and measurable impact
- Maintain campaign governance (QA, documentation, UTMs, naming conventions, compliance standards)
- Track and improve CRM KPIs including activation, retention, reactivation, incremental uplift, LTV, and channel health metrics
