Lead - Fraud Investigation - NBFC

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigate suspected fraudulent activities, including but not limited to loan application fraud, documentation fraud, identity theft, and employee fraud.

- Perform in-depth investigations into potential fraud cases, using forensic techniques, data analytics, and information gathering from various internal and external sources.

- Evaluate and recommend changes within policies, procedures, and controls to minimize fraud exposure and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Monitor fraud trends and provide proactive measures to reduce the likelihood of fraudulent activities.

- Maintain comprehensive records of fraud investigations, including findings, actions taken, and resolutions.

- Report on fraud-related trends, analysis of cases, and effectiveness of fraud controls to management on a regular basis.

- Liaise with external fraud investigation agencies, law enforcement, and regulators to ensure that appropriate legal action is taken when fraud is detected.

- Review and recommend improvements to the fraud control and prevention framework, ensuring it is aligned with best practices and regulatory standards.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

- A Bachelor/ master's degree in finance or a related field along with CFE - Certified Fraud Examiner.

- At least 8-15 years of experience in fraud detection, prevention, or investigation within the financial services, banking, or housing finance industry.

- Exposure to fraud examination of large value Corporate Finance cases.

- Strong knowledge of fraud detection methods, techniques, and tools, including data analytics, forensic accounting, and document verification techniques.
