Lead - Founder's Office - Fundraising & M&A - B2B Startup

Job Description:

Our client is an established B2B startup based in Bengaluru looking for an exceptional finance and strategy professional to step into a high-leverage role within the Founders Office. In this position, you will drive key strategic initiatives across equity/debt fundraising, inorganic growth (M&A), investor engagement, and board governance. You will operate at the intersection of corporate finance, commercial strategy, and executive executionturning raw operational data into compelling institutional narratives and leading high-stakes transactions from origination to close.

Key Responsibilities:

- Run capital-raising processes end-to-end, including investor mapping, outreach, dataroom creation, comprehensive financial due diligence, and deal negotiation alongside founders and legal counsels.

- Act as the primary interface for institutional investors, PE/VC partners, and lenders, owning quarterly reporting, investor presentations, MIS updates, and ad-hoc performance analyses.

- Screen, evaluate, and execute inorganic opportunities (acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances) by building granular financial models, DCF/LBO valuations, synergy frameworks, and integration roadmaps.

- Synthesize complex financial and operational performance data into insight-led board decks, strategic memos, and executive updates while decisively tracking board-level action items.

- Partner directly with the founders and CXOs on high-priority strategic pivots, market entries, pricing reviews, and commercial negotiations.

What We Are Looking For:

- Experience: 4-8 years of experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Management Consulting, or a Founders Office in a high-growth scale-up.

- Financial & Analytical Rigor: Advanced financial modeling, valuation, cap-table management, and transaction structuring skills; ability to interpret 3-statement financials intuitively.

- Education: CA / CFA / MBA from a tier-1 institution is preferred, though practical transaction execution experience and business acumen take precedence.
