Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership:
- Lead and oversee the accounting function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Build and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare statutory and management financial reports in accordance with GAAP, IFRS and MVBS (market value balance sheet).
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting, including compliance with IRDAI requirements.
- Implement and maintain governance and control systems to manage financial operations risk.
- Treasury & Tax Management:
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow planning, bank relationships, and investment of surplus funds.
- Ensure compliance with direct and indirect tax regulations, optimizing tax planning strategies.
- Operational Accounting & Automation:
- Oversee operational accounting processes, including payment of fees, intercompany billing, petty cash, and employee expenses.
- Drive automation and digital-first approaches to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with corporate auditors and represent the company in interactions with external stakeholders such as rating agencies, regulators, and statutory bodies.
- Serve as a key point of contact for finance-related queries and initiatives.
- Liaison with Accounting function of shareholder.
- Financial KPIs & Decision Support:
- Develop and monitor key financial KPIs, dashboards, and management information systems (MIS) to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with the CFO and Head of Controlling to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
