Finance & Accounts Lead CSR Trusts

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the accounts, compliance, and financial management of 1012 CSR entities/Trusts operating across the Saurashtra region. The role involves managing financial processes, ensuring CSR law compliance, coordinating with on-ground accountants, and supporting transparent and efficient deployment of CSR funds.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting Oversight & Financial Management
- Supervise and review the accounting activities of 1012 CSR entities in the Saurashtra district.
- Work closely with accountants assigned to each Trust/CSR entity.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, ledger management, periodic reconciliations, and timely completion of accounts.
2. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets for all CSR activities in coordination with program teams and trust management.
- Monitor budget vs actuals and highlight variances with recommendations for corrective action.
- Assist in long-term financial planning for sustainable CSR execution.
3. Cash Flow Management
- Prepare and monitor cash flow statements for key Trusts/entities.
- Manage fund allocation and disbursement cycles to ensure smooth operational functioning.
- Ensure timely availability of funds for on-ground projects.
4. Compliance, Audit & CSR Law
- Ensure full compliance with CSR rules, Trusts Act, Income Tax provisions (80G/12A), and other statutory norms.
- Coordinate internal and statutory audits for all entities.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and filings required under CSR governance.
- Ensure adherence to utilization norms, reporting guidelines, and fund governance frameworks.
5. Site Visits & Coordination
- Conduct 23 days of field visits per week to Mahuva and neighboring CSR project locations.
- Review records, verify documents, and assess financial processes at each location.
- Provide guidance to accountants to ensure standardized processes across all Trusts.
6. Reporting & MIS
- Prepare periodic MIS reports, financial summaries, fund utilization statements, and compliance documentation for senior leadership.
- Support preparation of Board-level presentations and donor reporting when required.
7. ERP & Technology Enablement
- Oversee accounting entries and workflows in ERP platforms such as Tally and SAP.
- Ensure accurate data entry, reconciliation, and system-based reporting.
- Standardize ERP usage across all CSR entities for better visibility and control.
Candidate Profile:
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, trust management, CSR finance, or non-profit financial oversight.
- Minimum 4 years of experience specifically in handling Trust/CSR accounts is essential.
- Qualification: CA is desirable but not mandatory. Candidates with strong trust/CSR accounting backgrounds will be considered.
- Deep knowledge of CSR Law, CSR Rules, Trust accounting standards, and statutory compliances.
- Strong understanding of fund management, budgets, donor compliance, and audit processes.
- Fluency in Gujarati is mandatory for stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency in ERP systems like Tally and SAP.
- Ability to travel 2 to 3 days weekly across locations.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
