Lead Expert Counsel - Manufacturing/Infrastructure

Job Purpose:

To advance the business goals and to protect the Company's reputation for integrity by showing effective Leadership including strategic issues in the area of expertise.

Job Role

- Advisory on Expert legal matters with High Risk of the Business in the area of expertise, with specialist legal knowledge. (For e.g. Environment, Energy, Land, Industrial & Safety, IPR, Corporate, Data Privacy, Anti-trust, Anti-money laundering, Anti-corruption, Human Rights, Sanctions, etc.)

- In charge of the Regulatory and Ethical compliance of law of existing businesses.

- Support the Lead Business Counsels for compliance on different aspects in the business operations including the areas of Environment Law, Competition Law, Factories Act, Anti-bribery, Sanctions, Anti-Human trafficking, territory restrictions, etc.

- Accountable to provide effective risk mitigation plans while ensuring business continuity and governance.

- Development and/or Overseeing the implementation of the legal processes in the area of expertise.

- Handling Matters involving High Risk with Threshold Value as defined in the Legal Charter.

- Leading team of expert Counsels and mentoring them in the area of their expertise.

- Work along with Lead Business Counsels in area of expertise.

- Strategic Advisory on Policy advocacy
