
Role Purpose:
Lead and strengthen the organization's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting framework by ensuring compliance with global standards, enhancing transparency, and driving data-driven sustainability disclosures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. ESG Reporting & Disclosures:
- Lead preparation of ESG reports aligned with frameworks such as GRI, BRSR, SASB, TCFD, and CDP
- Drive annual sustainability reporting and disclosures for stakeholders, investors, and regulators
- Ensure compliance with SEBI BRSR requirements and global ESG standards
2. Data Management & Assurance:
- Develop robust ESG data collection, validation, and reporting systems across business units
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for accurate ESG metrics tracking
- Lead third-party assurance and audits of ESG data
3. Strategy & Benchmarking:
- Support ESG strategy through insights from reporting data and benchmarking
- Track peer performance and global best practices
- Identify improvement areas across environmental and social performance
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with investors, rating agencies, and ESG analysts
- Respond to ESG questionnaires (MSCI, Sustainalytics, DJSI, etc.)
- Support leadership communication on sustainability initiatives
5. Digital & Process Transformation:
- Implement ESG reporting tools/platforms and automation
- Drive digital dashboards for real-time ESG monitoring
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of ESG frameworks (GRI, BRSR, TCFD, CDP)
- Expertise in sustainability data analytics and reporting tools
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Knowledge of climate risk, carbon accounting, and circular economy is a plus
