Role: Lead Distributor
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the distribution & channel management function for our kidswear brand. The role will focus on driving growth through distributor partnerships, wholesale, and retail channels across India, ensuring efficient product availability and expansion into newer markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the distribution strategy to strengthen market presence and coverage.
- Build, manage, and expand relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and multi-brand outlets (MBOs).
- Drive sales performance through the distribution network to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor inventory flow and ensure timely product availability at distribution points.
- Negotiate commercial terms with distribution partners to optimize margins and profitability.
- Identify and onboard new channel partners to support growth in untapped markets.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align demand planning and market expansion strategies.
- Track and analyze distribution KPIs sell-in, sell-out, channel performance, and market coverage.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards and resolve distributor/channel conflicts effectively.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the distribution & channel sales team.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 10-14 years of experience in distribution, channel sales, or wholesale within the apparel / fashion / footwear / kidswear / lifestyle industries.
- Strong network with distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners in the apparel industry (preferably kidswear).
- Proven track record in driving sales growth through distribution channels.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze data and drive strategic decisions.
- Team leadership experience is preferred.
