Position Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to drive the digital innovation at RBL in the role of Lead - Digital Innovation. The incumbent will spearhead the identification, development, and implementation of ground-breaking digital initiatives and technologies aimed at transforming the bank's offerings and customer experience. This role requires a deep understanding of emerging technologies, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive innovation within a fast-paced, highly regulated banking environment. He/she will work closely with cross-functional teams to create a culture of innovation and position the bank as a leader in digital banking.
Key Position Responsibilities:
Sr. Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Innovation:
- Develop and execute the digital product roadmap in alignment with the bank's strategic objectives.
- Identify opportunities to innovate and enhance customer experience through digital channels and technologies.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of market demands
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define digital product needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
2. Innovative Products:
- Lead the development and delivery of innovative digital products, including mobile banking apps, digital payments, lending platforms, and other digital banking services.
- Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, operations, etc.) to ensure successful product design, development, and launch.
- Manage product lifecycle from ideation to post-launch optimization, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and user satisfaction.
- Apply agile methodologies and product management best practices for effective execution.
3. Customer Experience:
- Focus on building products and solutions that prioritize customer needs, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and engaging digital experience.
- Collaborate with customer experience teams to gather feedback and iterate on digital products and features.
- Analyze user data and product performance to refine user experience and product functionality.
4. Technology Integration & Optimization:
- Lead integration efforts with core banking systems, third-party APIs, and other platforms to ensure a unified and seamless digital ecosystem.
- Ensure digital products comply with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Leverage emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, and machine learning to enhance digital solutions.
5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for digital products and measure product performance against set goals.
- Use data-driven insights to guide decisions on product improvements, optimizations, and new features.
- Prepare regular reports on digital product performance and strategy to senior leadership.
- Ensure that all digital products and solutions adhere to the bank's security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Essential Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.
- Experience 9+ years of experience in digital banking, fintech, or product management with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Preferred Experience - Proven track record of managing and launching successful digital products and services.
- Strong knowledge of digital banking technologies, trends, and platforms (e.g., mobile banking, digital payments, core banking systems, etc.).
- Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with agile methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
- Strong business acumen with a customer-first mindset.
- Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, security standards, and compliance issues in the financial industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Knowledge of digital payment solutions, online banking, and emerging fintech innovations.
DESIRABLE:
- Exposure to leading digital product teams in the banking/financial services sector.
