Lead - Designer - Textile Industry

Lead Designer (From Textiles only. Preferably furnishings)

Job Purpose: Develop innovative design collections based on season & latest trends

Key Responsibilities:

- Creative innovate and well thought out concepts that push the envelope of conventional design for home textile categories.

- Responsible for seasonal collection and new product developments as per on going and future trend and forecast

- Gather and present inspiration for new ideas, new product lines and designs for seasonal lines

- Responsible for product development from concept through production in accordance with the product release calendar. Managing the outsourcing design related vendor & laising with internal teams for payment activities.

- Create detailed technical packages, including material specifications, trim, and color details

- Research new techniques that can elevate product design while being mindful of how to execute in production.

- Identify relevant trends through research, travel, forecasting tools and macro-trend & consumer insights.

- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new design and production techniques and textile technology

- Develop digital based printed samples for display in conference & making presentation for season based and buyers as per requirement

- Responsible for providing inputs on packaging design & development

- Check fabric at every stage of production, to review whether it is meeting the samples specifications

- Support color team with conceptualization and development of colors/graphics and application of colors in visual line plans.

- Partner with internal teams to drive catalog, web and social media marketing efforts for your products

- Present your line of products to both internal and external stakeholders to support global product meetings and promotion efforts

- Travel to tradeshows, Specialized subsidiaries, vendors and regional events during product development and launching

- Continually research new sustainable materials, applications and technologies to support the larger sustainability goals of the organization.
