About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Lead to manage a high-performing data team at the intersection of marketing, intelligence, and emerging AI. This role will define the strategic roadmap for Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, and next-generation Generative AI / LLM solutions across BFSI, Retail, Pharma, and FMCG sectors.
The candidate has strong hands-on foundations in Data Science and AI, and has since moved into a strategic leadership role focusing on capability building, solution design, client advisory, and scaling intelligent marketing ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and drive the organizations Data Science + GenAI + LLM strategy aligned with business and client growth goals.
- Champion adoption of modern AI capabilities such as LLM fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, prompt orchestration, and AI agent workflows.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, experimentation, and responsible AI across the data organization.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the senior AI advisor for key clients, shaping solutions that address real business challenges.
- Translate complex data and AI opportunities into clear business narratives and marketing strategies.
- Drive engagement and trust with C-suite stakeholders across strategy, growth, and digital initiatives.
People & Team Management:
- Lead and mentor Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Analysts, and GenAI Specialists.
- Drive hiring, capability expansion, knowledge sharing, and structured skill development initiatives.
- Establish scalable collaboration models across data, tech, and marketing teams.
Solutioning & Delivery Oversight:
- Oversee design and deployment of ML models, GenAI applications (chatbots, copilots, summarization engines, content automation), customer intelligence platforms, and prediction frameworks.
- Lead implementation of RAG pipelines, enterprise LLM integration, embeddings-based search, and multi-agent workflow automation.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security standards, ethical AI, and regulatory compliance.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Educational Background: Master's / PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields.
Core Expertise:
- Hands-on background in ML, Predictive Modeling, NLP, and GenAI/LLM architectures (GPT, LLaMA, Claude, Mistral, etc.)
- Experience with Vector Databases, Knowledge Graphs, and LLM Fine-tuning / Prompt Engineering.
- Proven experience deploying solutions on AWS / GCP / Azure and operationalizing ML pipelines (MLOps).
Leadership:
- 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing cross-functional, data-driven teams.
- Ability to build and scale teams, mentor senior talent, and define operating structures.
Business Acumen:
- Strong ability to connect analytical capabilities to marketing KPIs and commercial impact.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder influence skills.
