Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data strategy aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Establish data governance frameworks, policies, and standards, ensuring data accuracy, quality, privacy, and security.
- Lead data stewardship programs and define data ownership models across business units.
2. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance data regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC, local regulatory requirements).
- Build strong controls for data privacy, data retention, and data lifecycle management.
- Act as the primary executive responsible for data related audits and regulatory engagements
3. Data Architecture & Technology Enablement
- Collaborate with the CTO to define modern data infrastructure including data lakes, data warehouses, MDM, and analytics platforms.
- Oversee the adoption of AI/ML tools and automation technologies.
- Ensure interoperability and data integration across core lending systems, CRM, risk systems, and digital sourcing channels.
4. Analytics, Insights & Business Value
- Lead enterprise initiatives, enabling data-driven decision-making across lending, risk, marketing, fraud prevention, customer experience, and operations.
- Promote self-service analytics capabilities for business users.
5. Leadership & Culture
- Build team to manage - data governance, data engineering and data quality.
- Drive a data-centric culture across the organization through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide leadership at the executive level, influencing digital transformation initiatives.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance, or related field.
- Master's degree (MBA, MSc in Data Analytics, Information Management, or similar) preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in data management, analytics, information management, or related fields.
- 7+ years of leadership experience, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven experience implementing enterprise data governance, data quality, and data management frameworks.
