Job Title: Lead - Data Governance

Location: Chennai

Deliverables (Key Responsibilities)

- Oversee that policies and processes related to data governance initiatives like data quality, access management etc. are communicated and enforced throughout the organization.

- Ensure roles and responsibilities at the strategic & operational levels are clearly defined.

- Act as deciding authority for various governance templates, SLAs and benchmarks on various policies, as well as on decisions regarding whether governance tools should be considered

- Accountable for developing and monitoring the strategic plan and priorities for overall data governance, and ensuring the definition and enforcement of relevant Data Governance policies and processes

Decision level

Prime: Decision Making authority for Data governance policies

Shared: Shared Decision Making for areas overlapping/ conflicting with other data initiatives

Contributory: Makes a major contribution to organizational decisions or policy judgment

Demonstrate (Key Competencies)

- Strong leadership capabilities with effective stakeholder management and capacity to defend strategic decisions with respect to data governance

- Big picture thinking - ability to visualize how parts shall/ may interact with the whole

- Extensive experience of Data Governance related projects.

- Expert knowledge of Banking industry and related products.

- Understanding of global data governance strategies (DAMA, DCAM etc.)

- Excellent communication skills

Education Level

Must have: Degree in Engineering/ Computer Science

Preferable: MBA

Working Experience

8 - 15 years
