Lead - Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) (Female candidates only)

Location: BKC, Mumbai

Company: A leading steel manufacturing company.

Role Overview

The Lead - CSR will drive the company's corporate CSR strategy, governance, and compliance from the Mumbai headquarters, overseeing multi-location CSR programs across plant and mining operations. The role ensures regulatory compliance, measurable social impact, and strong alignment with the company's ESG and sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and implement CSR strategy and policies in line with Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013.

- Oversee planning, execution, and monitoring of CSR programs across multiple geographies.

- Manage CSR budgets, fund utilization, and statutory reporting.

- Lead impact assessment, documentation, and Board/CSR Committee reporting.

- Engage with senior management, site CSR teams, NGOs, and government stakeholders.

- Support ESG, BRSR, and sustainability disclosures.

Qualifications & Experience

- Postgraduate degree in Social Work, Sustainability, Public Policy, or MBA.

- 15-20 years of experience in CSR, sustainability, or community development, preferably in steel, mining, or infrastructure sectors.

- Strong exposure to CSR compliance, governance, budgeting, and impact reporting.

Skills

- Strong knowledge of Indian CSR regulations and ESG frameworks.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability.
