The Lead- Credit Risk will be responsible for managing and enhancing the credit risk framework for unsecured lending products (such as personal loans, consumer durable loans, business loans, and credit lines). The incumbent will design and implement robust credit policies, risk analytics, underwriting models, and portfolio monitoring strategies to ensure optimal risk-adjusted returns.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Strategy & Policy:
- Develop and maintain credit risk policies and frameworks for unsecured products.
- Review and enhance underwriting norms in line with market trends, regulatory guidelines, and risk appetite.
- Collaborate with product and analytics teams to optimize credit strategies for new and existing products.
Underwriting & Risk Models:
- Build and improve credit scorecards and rule engines in collaboration with data science and analytics teams.
- Monitor performance of underwriting models and recommend refinements as needed.
- Evaluate new lending segments, channels, or partnerships from a credit perspective.
Portfolio Monitoring & MIS:
- Analyze portfolio performance, delinquencies, and early warning signals using dashboards and analytics.
- Lead periodic credit reviews and present portfolio health to senior management.
- Design and track key risk indicators (KRIs) and early warning systems (EWS).
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- MBA/PGDM in Finance, Economics, or CA; additional certifications in Risk (e.g., FRM, PRM) preferred.
- 7-12 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably with unsecured lending experience in NBFCs, Fintechs, or Banks.
- Strong understanding of consumer credit products and risk lifecycle.
- Proficiency in credit analytics, scorecards, and decision engine design.
- Familiarity with data tools (Excel, SQL, SAS, Python/R is a plus).
- Strong business acumen, analytical mindset, and stakeholder management skills.
