Lead - Cost Controller - Real Estate

Role Overview:

With one of our reputed Real Estate clients, we are looking for a Lead - Cost Controller. The role holder will be responsible for fulfilling the need for a costing executive who is conversant with prevailing labor and material rates to ensure the preparation of accurate cost estimates for proposed construction projects and to independently monitor the budgets for ongoing projects.

Responsibilities:

- Quantity Surveying: Conducting detailed quantity surveys to determine material and labor requirements.

- Rate Analysis: Performing comprehensive rate analysis for materials and labor.

- Cost Management: Overseeing cost management processes to ensure financial efficiency.

- Budget Planning and Forecasting: Planning and forecasting project budgets, monitoring progress, and reporting on budget status.

- Cost Reporting and Forecasting: Producing regular cost reports and making accurate cost forecasts.

- Process Cost Information: Setting up and maintaining accurate process cost information systems.

- Cost Reconciliation: Reconciling standard costs to actual costs to identify variances.

- Resource Evaluation: Evaluating project requirements to provide vital resources, including financial and human resources.

- Decommissioning: Optimising decommissioning procedures to minimise losses.

- Variance Analysis: Calculating the variance between the budgeting plan and reality.

- Loss Investigation: Investigating unprofitable variances and losses.

- Solution Development: Developing cost-efficient solutions to implement changes.

- Supplier Communication: Communicating with suppliers to negotiate material costs.

- Retail Monitoring: Visiting and monitoring retail outlets to assess wastage and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: BE (Civil).

- Technical Skills: Quantity Surveying, Rate Analysis, Construction cost benchmarking, cost coefficients, cost escalation and cost forecasting.

- Experience: Minimum 15+ years out of which 10 years should be in execution of projects and remaining in Costing and Budgeting from Real Estate Sector.
