Lead Control Tower (First Mile & Reverse Logistics)
Location: Bangalore
A high-growth organization in the logistics ecosystem is looking for a seasoned operations leader to head the Control Tower function. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and has a proven track record of building scalable processes across geographically distributed networks.
Role Overview:
This role will be responsible for driving end-to-end visibility, operational excellence, and performance across First Mile pickup operations and Reverse Logistics (RTO) processes at a national level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale the Control Tower function for First Mile and Reverse Logistics operations.
- Drive network-wide performance on pickup success rates, turnaround times, RTO reduction, and exception management.
- Establish governance frameworks, escalation mechanisms, and operational playbooks to improve service levels and customer experience.
- Partner with Operations, Network Planning, Technology, Product, Vendor Management, and Customer Success teams to resolve systemic challenges.
- Leverage data, analytics, and automation to improve operational visibility, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Present operational insights, performance reviews, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Ideal Candidate:
- 8+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, E-commerce, 3PL, Courier, or Express Operations.
- Strong experience in Control Tower Operations, First Mile, Reverse Logistics (RTO), Network Operations, or Central Operations.
- Proven track record of managing large, distributed teams and driving operational excellence at scale.
- Strong analytical mindset with expertise in dashboards, performance metrics, RCA, and process optimization.
- Experience working with TMS/WMS platforms, control tower technologies, GPS/telematics, and data-driven decision-making tools.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
