- Assist in developing and implementing compliance model required to operate within acceptable standards.
- Owning & managing the compliance requirements and ensuring adherence to the requirements.
- Liaison with stakeholder/senior management to ensure proper implementation of established compliance policies.
- Review business policies to ensure they are aligned as per regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments such as the risk management or internal audit unit to forward compliance issues for investigation.
- Conduct reviews to identify gaps in the overall compliance processes within and outside the department & ensure identification of staff accountability for requisite action.
- Ensure adherence to timelines for various compliance activities as assigned by regulator/ Board/ top 0r senior management.
- Review the policies/ products/ processes to ensure compliance with regulatory & statutory laws.
- Carry out assessments to identify areas of potential compliance risks in order to implement preventive/corrective strategies to address compliance issues.
- Provide reports on a regular basis to senior management to keep them updated on progress of compliance operations.
- Organize compliance programs to educate the staff on recent and already existing compliance requirements.
Education - CS/CA.
Specialized Knowledge: Accounting & Financial Statements, Statutory Laws, RBI Regulations & Circulars,.
Skill Set (Must):
- Ability to use judgement and to manage/ impart compliance risk.
- Ability to understand, interlink and review policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, practices and implementation of same in operations of the Company.
- Good communication and interpretation skills.
- Understanding of Compliance systems and Controls.
Skill Set (Desired):
- Good Negotiation Skills.
Experience Range - 5 - 8 Years.
