Communication Lead Role Purpose: - The BU Communications SPOC will oversee all communications involving the BU including print and radio media, digital and social media channels and niche communications to bring company's purpose to life for internal people, clients, and communities and thereby, increase visibility and influence to support the achievement of operational goals - Will be responsible for all strategic planning and programming related to communications, external relations, and stakeholder engagement. Will keep a sharp focus on strategies to increase visibility and influence, and to support the achievement of operational goals. - Will be responsible for managing the reputation and image as well as Public Relations. - Will actively engage, cultivate, and manage press relationships to secure coverage surrounding programs, special events, public announcements, and other projects Essential Area of Expertise: - 8-10 years of experience from research team of media like ETIG, The Ken or REDD Intelligence, Debtwire, ReOrg - Can do in-depth research and provide data and content for the PR team and journalists for stories, IR reports and thought leadership pieces - Business journalist or financial/markets beat reporter with exceptional writing skills in English. - Must have innate storytelling skills and the ability to identify newsworthiness. - Must be able to leverage a team's writing skills to spot potential stories and create narratives around routine corporate events Educational Qualifications: Candidate should possess graduation degree of a recognized University and professional qualification in Mass Communication / Media Management /PR / MBA in Marketing from a recognized University / AICTE approved Institute Key Responsibilities: Strategic: - Decide the BU's communication vision, mission, strategy, and policies in alignment with the corporate strategy and growth objectives - Position the organization well by establishing Senior Leadership/CXO as thought leaders through strategic communication on digital and traditional platforms - Create an annual bank of stories on businesses, CSR and sustainability-led initiatives of the Business - Work with the Stakeholders within the Business units to find stories which can be amplified. - Guide copy generation work for all forms of written content drafts, work with the Content Factory to craft the various releases required to be amplified in the media internally and externally Reputation Management: - Quick content support amid crisis - Proactive content seeding, SERM strategy - Assigning, generating, and collating written work and adding flair and polish to individual pieces. - Senior writer for talks, speeches and other external or internal communications involving the business heads. - Manage and enhance a company's reputation in the public's eye. - Evaluate and participate in relevant external events, conference, and seminars. - Create awareness about positive stories around the organization and its success. - Bring awareness about organization's sustainability and CSR initiatives. - Drive the crisis communication strategy of the company - Handling Budget activities along with Finance team for development of New Product - Develop production specifications and evaluates processing and storage operations in plants. - Develop guidelines to facilitate formulation of standard operating procedures. - Documentation of all scientific development works in compliance to the company's process - Validation and checking of the recipe & process validation reports submitted by plants - Define metrics, dashboards and MIS to monitor and track the new product developments (recipe status, trial status, cost analysis, Marketing comments, timelines for launch etc) ; take corrective actions to drive adherence to defined and agreed SLAs. - Co-ordination with Production and quality team for product performance and compliances. - Presentation and report preparation to be shared with Top Management team and during official visit from Group. - Introduce methodology to ensure 'first time right' approach in all new product introductions. - Interpreting client requirements, writing product specifications, SOP and required documentation before introducing new products in the market (commercialization). - Presenting new products to potential customers - Guide and support Application technologists / Application chefs in implementing NPD strategy. - Ensure systematic tracking and handover of all leads to be developed by NPD Application Leaders / Application chef's members for the category to the Sales team. - Conduct shelf life stability tests in line with applicable laws of the land and also international markets
