Role Overview:

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the Collections & Recovery function for the retail asset finance portfolio. The role involves driving collection efficiency, managing delinquency, controlling NPAs, implementing recovery strategies, and ensuring portfolio quality while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute collections and recovery strategies to improve portfolio performance and minimize credit losses.

- Monitor delinquency trends across various buckets and implement corrective actions to prevent slippages into NPAs.

- Drive collection efficiency and recovery performance across assigned geographies.

- Manage and oversee recovery operations for overdue and non-performing accounts.

- Lead, mentor, and monitor collections teams to achieve business and recovery objectives.

- Review collection MIS, portfolio health reports, and key performance indicators on a regular basis.

- Coordinate with legal teams, recovery agencies, field teams, and other stakeholders to enhance recovery outcomes.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical collection practices.

- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies within the collections and recovery function.

- Identify portfolio risks and recommend preventive measures to improve asset quality.

- Support business growth by maintaining a healthy and sustainable loan portfolio.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- 10+ years of experience in Collections & Recovery within NBFCs, lending institutions, or asset finance organizations.

- Strong exposure to delinquency management, NPA control, recovery operations, and portfolio management.

- Experience in handling Tractor, Agri, or Construction Equipment finance portfolios.

- Proven leadership experience in managing large teams and multi-location operations.

- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
