Client Manager

Responsible for Assortment planning, buying, merchandising and sales of Fruits & Vegetables across online and offline stores by following: a) Assortment planning - Selection planning along with inventory planning of products b) Merchandising across stores to generate consumer demand c) Buying & negotiation at best price d) Building capabilities to solve for business to scale - example supply chain setup for F&V Key responsibilities: - Source and purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, focusing on quality, price, and seasonal availability. - Conduct daily market visits (Mandi visits) for price collection and benchmarking, and stay updated on competitor pricing. - Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with farmers, wholesalers, and vendors to build a reliable procurement network. - Negotiate competitive prices and favorable supply terms while maintaining quality and integrity. - Forecast seasonal arrivals, analyze market trends, and adjust procurement strategies based on price fluctuations and demand. - Ensure timely deliveries and optimize logistics to guarantee a consistent supply and minimal waste. - Work closely with the quality control team to assess product quality, ensure compliance, and minimize shrinkage. - Monitor inventory levels, optimize stock turnover, and ensure compliance with procurement and supply chain policies. - Maintain strong communication across departments, training store teams and sharing market insights regularly. - Track key performance indicators, such as fill rates, volume achievement, and quality standards. - 5+ years post graduation/PG with experience in scaling F&V business and sourcing from Bigbasket, Reliance Retail, Swiggy/Blinkit/Zepto a) Deep understanding of F&V value chain b) Ability to problem solve and scale c) High on ownership and execution rigor d) Ability to understand and influence different stakeholders to get work done
