Role Responsibilities
Responsible for leading and growing the private client broking business by managing HNI/UHNI client relationships, driving revenue and profitability, and overseeing the performance of the PCG desk. The role involves end-to-end ownership of client acquisition, advisory, execution, and service delivery while working closely with the Wealth Management team to deliver integrated investment solutions and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and risk management frameworks
Job Responsibilities
Business & Revenue Management
- Lead the Private Client Group desk with full ownership of revenue, profitability, and AUM growth
- Drive brokerage, advisory, and distribution revenues across equity, derivatives, MF, PMS, AIF, bonds, and structured products
- Formulate and execute client acquisition and cross-sell strategies for HNI/UHNI clients
- Monitor desk performance, daily revenues, and client activity
- Work closely with Wealth Management team to deliver integrated Investment solutions
Client Relationship Management
- Build and manage relationships with key UHNI clients
- Act as a senior point of contact for top clients and resolve escalations
- Ensure high standards of client engagement, advisory quality, and service delivery
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage, and scale a team of Relationship Managers, Dealers, and support staff
- Set clear targets, conduct performance reviews, and monitor productivity of the desk
- Provide market insights, product guidance, and on-the-job coaching
Product & Market Advisory
- Provide strategic market views and investment ideas to clients and team
- Coordinate with research, product, and dealing teams for timely execution
- Ensure suitability and risk alignment of products offered to clients
Risk, Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to SEBI regulations, exchange norms, and internal policies
- Monitor client risk exposure, margins, and credit limits
- Ensure KYC, documentation, and compliance standards are strictly followed
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with Wealth Management, Research, Dealing, Operations, and Compliance teams.
- Support management with MIS, performance reports, and business insight
Professional Background
- 815 years of experience in broking / wealth / capital markets.
- Proven experience managing HNI / Ultra HNI clients in a broking setup.
- Very strong understanding of equities (Cash & F&O) is mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to meet, advise, and manage Ultra HNI clients independently.
- Prior experience leading a PCG / HNI desk or senior RM team preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of revenue and AUM growth
