IE Research - Lead Analyst for Auto & Auto Ancillaries
Responsibilities :
- Research & Financial Analysis : Conduct in-depth analysis of companies, sectors and market
dynamics by evaluating financial performance, industry trends and econometric indicators to generate actionable insights
- Sector Modelling & Competitive Intelligence : Develop and maintain detailed financial models, industry databases, valuation frameworks and earnings forecasts for the sector.
- Benchmarking : Compare a company's valuation and operational metrics to its peers. Impact through votes, business calls, meetings, post release calls.
- Writing quality and presentation : Prepare investment writeups and presentations. consistency in quality, quantity and timing of analysis. Publish high-quality company-specific research reports with actionable investment recommendations.
- Leadership, Coaching & Research Quality : Mentor junior analysts by providing strategic guidance, enhancing research capabilities and driving high-quality analytical output across the team.
- Strategic Relationship Management : Built and maintained relationships with asset managers, pension funds, institutional investors, corporates and key industry stakeholders while supporting institutional sales through client engagements, roadshows, conferences and investor outreach. Relationship & Votes from Key FIIs and DIIs.
- Market Credibility : Ranked in Institutional Investor & Asia Money would be preferred. Well networked and up to date with key developments in the domain.
Skills :
- Prior experience in sell-side brokerage or buy-side research within the Auto & Auto Ancillaries sector, with strong domain expertise and industry understanding.
- Recognized and voted/ranked by institutional clients or buy-side investors in industry/broker polls/surveys.
- Proven track record of publishing high-quality research reports and generating differentiated
investment ideas.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and excellent communication skills with the
ability to synthesize qualitative insights effectively.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead teams, drive engagement and build team
morale.
- Strong institutional client engagement with high ethical standards and professional integrity.
- CA/CFA/MBA with a minimum of 10+ years of relevant sell-side sector experience.
Strategic Capabilities :
- Established relationships with institutional investors and corporate management teams.
- Strong understanding of the Indian automotive ecosystem and evolving EV landscape.
- Experience covering both OEMs and Auto Ancillaries companies will be preferred.
Reporting To : As per the reporting structure
Salary Bandwidth : Depending on candidates background and experience
